Singin ‘in the Cave 2020 is finally here!
This summer, we’ll see jump into the boat of Coves de Sant Josep to: Maika Makovski, Anni B Sweet, Andrea Motis & Josep Traver, Listening to Elephants, Raquel Lúa and Ede.
Discover the fifth edition of this series of concerts that has been taking place in Coves de Sant Josep since 2016.
An edition that, given the situation, presents some modifications to guarantee sanitary measures, but does not lose the essence that identifies it: musical quality in its purest form in a unique natural environment.
Get to know the 6 artists that will play in this edition:
Raquel Lúa – July 31
Self-taught singer and songwriter with influences from fado, flamenco, mediterranean and folk music. At the Singin’ in the Cave she will be accompanied by Amaia Miranda on the guitar.
Andrea Motis & Josep Traver – August 7
Inspiring her music on idols such as Louis Armstrong and Chet Baker, the young Barcelona trumpeter and singer has been dazzling audiences since 2011. Josep Traver is an eclectic guitarist, with experience in styles such as swing, jazz-manouche, bluegrass, folk , etc. He is a regular on the Barcelona music scene and has made numerous appearances on radio and TV. At their concert they will perform songs from their latest works, as well as beautiful songs of their own.
Maika Makovski -August 14
No wonder Makovski has toured half the world to play, South America, the United States, and virtually all of Europe. And is that his career is almost as diverse as his roots.
At his concert you can enjoy his most international pop-rock.
Ede – September 6
Artist from Madrid, composer and interpreter of songs, she has spent her entire life training in various artistic disciplines. She made the leap thanks to her social networks, for which thousands of fans and followers know her. It stands out for its voice, which gives off a charisma as close as explosive.
Anni B Sweet -August 28
Spanish singer and songwriter, writes her lyrics mainly in English. Its style captivates those who hear it for being soft and melancholic. It has influences from acoustic, folk and indie pop music.
Escuchando Elefantes – September 11
The voices of Silvia and Carlos manage to merge, coming to sound like one. The dynamics and strength that they transmit to the public with their songs is due to their passion for playing on the street, in which they have been trained as musicians. They have toured Europe sharing experiences with musicians such as the Oscar-winning Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, Paddy Casey, Damien Rice, Bono (U2), Lisa Hannigan, Hozier, Kodaline and Sinead O’Connor, among others.
For security reasons, this year modifications have been applied to the concerts:
- The number of tickets per concert is reduced compared to previous editions, 30 tickets per concert will be put on sale (reduction of 75% of capacity).
- The use of a mask will be mandatory.
- Only the acoustic set will be performed in the Hall of Bats, from the boat, without amplification, with an approximate duration of 40 minutes, and the duration of the previous visit to les Coves de Sant Josep will be reduced.
- The concerts will begin at 23:00h.
